Simply Kind

I have CASed (Copy & Share) this design of card from the clever 'Late Blossom' who makes only clean and simple, yet absolutely beautiful cards. Check out here for her blog called SIMPLICITY, and scroll through for endless inspiration.

More is not necessarily better!

Cute Cupcakes

On Friday night I held a Hostess Appreciation Night, where all the hostesses of 2009 got a chance to come and make some free projects, eat and drink and be merry :)

I made this 'little' stack of cupcakes laden with goodies inside as an incentive for anyone who wanted to book another workshop.

I've used the new stamp set 'Hello Again' from the Summer mini, to decorate, as well as sponging, and a bit of chunky glitter 'bling' to finish it off.

I meant to take pictures of all the beautiful projects everyone made but typically forgot!

If you would like the pattern for the cupcake, just email me. If you would like to book a workshop or catalogue party I still have some cupcakes for the taking too :)

Happy Crafting!! :)

Lotsa Luvvin'!

Yay! More chipboard and more crystal effects! :)

Here's 3 cards I've made for engagement cards (but could be used for Valentine's Day or anniversary cards....). They all have the same colour scheme and similar layout, but I wanted to make each still a little different.

If you can see from the pictures, I've also used Crystal Effects on the punch out hearts to give them a bit of a shine....maybe even a little glitter wouldn't have gone astray :)

Haiti Disaster Relief

Help make a difference in the lives of those who continue to suffer from the effects of the devastating earthquake that struck Haiti on 12 January.

From now until 28 February, 2010, Stampin' Up!® will set aside $2 from the sale of every I {Heart} Hearts stamp set and donate it to the Red Cross’ Haiti Relief and Development Fund.

The Red Cross is already well established in Haiti, and this money will be used
to provide immediate relief and long-term support through supplies, technical assistance and other support to help those in need.

Click on the same image in the righthand column to see a full page view of the stamp set.

If you don't have your own local demonstrator, phone or email me if you would like to place an order.

Big Bold Shiny Cupcake

Here's a couple of the many birthday cards that have run off the production line lately - I pulled out the 'Big Bold Birthday' stamp set, and thought would go for some bold and bright colours.

I love what texture adds to a card - from using Versamark as a background, to crimping, to layering of card and colours, distressing card edges, Crystal Effects (!), to a bit of bling!

Have a play with texture and layering and see what difference it'll make to your projects! :)

Crystal 21st Card

I have had a 'run' of using chipboard and crystal effects lately - it turns out so terrifically!! You should give it a go.

I have just coloured the chipboard by pressing it into the ink pad colour of choice, attaching it with Tombow adhesive, and applying Crystal Effects to the top...it takes a little while to dry, but hte results are worth it!

How do you use your chipboard??

Cupful of Flowers

Here's another little card made with the 'Love Notes' card and envelope pack from Stampin' Up!

I've coloured the image with Stampin' Up! markers, done a little sponging around the edges and used the Scallop edge punch for a little 'something different' on the border.

Baby Girl Dress Card

Yesterday I posted the baby boy card...today it's another baby girl card (I mentioned that there are a lot of babies being born lately!?)

Similar to the Onesie in yesterday's post, yet, as a small dress. You may not be able to see in the photo very well, but above the bottom 'frill' are stamped words in Pink Pirouette from the Nursery Necessities stamp set.

Project Recipe:
Stamp Set: Nursery Necessities
Cardstock: Pale Plum, Whisper White, Pink Pirouette DS Paper
Ink: Pink Pirouette
Other: Scallop circle punch, Scallop Edge Punch, 1 3/4" circle punch, White Grosgrain ribbon.

I thought I'd do something a little different to the standard A6 folded card.
These 'Onesie' type baby cards have been around for a while and are pretty cute!
This is for a little baby boy.

Stamp Set: Nursery Necessities
Cardstock: Old Olive, Whisper White
Ink: Old Olive, Night of Navy
Other: Piercing tool, brads, close to cocoa stampin' write marker, sponge dauber, 1 3/4" Circle Punch

Candle Tutorial

I've had a request for a tutorial for how to make these candles. Once you know how, it is really easy to make a few in a very short time.
Have a look at this tutorial from Splitcoast Stampers by Jenni Mouer.

Splitcoast Stampers website has tutorials for almost every stamping technique you can think of, and for many many great projects. Check it out at www.splitcoaststampers.com.

The only things I added to my candles were extra ribbons (you can also add a band of beautiful DS Paper around the bottom or middle of the candle) and extra brads. The Stampin' Up! brads easily push into the candle after you've 'melted' the image onto it - my candles had the gold brads, and the rhinestone brads pushed into them...also helps hold the ribbon in place.

Decorated Journals

Here's a totally 'non stamping' project.

These cute little journals are covered in Stampin' Up! DS papers, and decorated in more DS paper, cardstock, felt flowers, rhinestone brads and ribbons. The matching cards are made on the 'Note Cards' from p131 of the Catalogue.

With a few punches, papers and accesories, a plain chipboard journal transforms into something special! :)
