Cobbler Outline Christmas Card

Check out page 106 of the Stampin' Up! catalogue...does this look familiar now? :)

My card is 10cm x 10 cm, so it looks 'chunkier', but the design is pretty much the same.

I've used Old Olive cardstock for the base, Cherry Cobbler Cardstock run through the Big Shot using the Petals-a-plenty Embossing Folder; punched out with the Ornament Punch, and layered onto Baja Breeze DS paper.

Add a Crumb Cake 'Scallop Trim' trim...a little knot of ribbon...one rhinestone...and a sentiment from 'Four the Holidays' stamp set in Early Espresso...done!

4 Cards 4 Christmas

As promised, here are the cards from my recent Christmas Card class. I precut supplies for 190 cards!! (that's my excuse for not posting last week :) )

All the ladies made 8 cards each, 2 of each of the designs above. It was a flurry of activity all afternoon, and hopefully gave everyone a head-start on their Christmas Card making.

The top 3 used the Big Shot in one way or another. And the fourth was inspired by a card Danielle Daws created. Check our her website...she has a really lovely uncluttered and elegant style.

Have a great weekend ahead!

The 200 Mark!

Not that it's anything too world-shattering, but this is my 200th Blog Post. Yay for making that many. Thanks to those of you who pop in to see what I have (or have not!) been up to :)

Here's a quick little decoration for the Christmas tree...made from strips of Jolly Holiday Designer Series Paper. It uses 8 x 1"x4" strips, and a bit of ribbon, and done!

If you'd like more instructions, just leave a comment or drop me a line.

Come back Friday for some more Christmas cards....

Gearing up for Christmas

Hello out there! :)
How's your organising for Christmas going? Are you having a quiet one? Doing some hand-crafted things perhaps? Do you send personalised Christmas cards?

I know every year we all say we'll be organised earlier, but I'm wondering if this year Christmas has really snuck up on us...the year really has flown.

We are in November and the only Christmas cards I've made are for workshops. But hey, that'll start the production line I suppose. So, in a way, I'm a little organised in a short-cut kind of way :)

This card is similar to THIS card post.

It involves square punched Designer Series paper (double-sided), topnote die & the Big Shot, the Five Petal Punch, Rhinestones & the Curly Cute sentiment stamps.

I love the colours in the Christmas papers for this year's Stampin' Up! catalogue. Cherry Cobbler, Old Olive & Very Vanilla...nice!

Thanks for dropping by,
Anna :)

Birthday Card

I've realised that since I've had the Big Shot, that I do use it a LOT for my cards. It certainly hasn't lost it's shine at all and is still my favourite Stampin' Up! toy! :)

I've used it here for a quick birthday card...cut the topnote shape first, then ran it back through the big shot with the Elegant Lines embossing folder.

Add a sentiment (Curly Cues), a bit of wide Early Espresso striped grosgrain ribbon, and 'voila'..done!

I even cut a second top note shape for writing the well wishes inside. How's that for thinking ahead? :)

Til next time, Anna :)

Brobee card

Continuing the recent spate of punch art items...

Here's a card I made recently for a little man who is a fan of 'Yo Gabba Gabba'. For those of you who don't watch much children's TV, this character is called Brobee. Little Mr 3's clever mama even made a 3D version of Brobee for Mr 3's cake. So clever!

So I've used a few punches for Mr Brobee...these are the colours he is in 'real life' and it makes a really cheery birthday card.

I used circle punches, oval punches, the star punch, the corner punch & the word window punch.

Thanks for checking him out :)

Whooo-hooo woulda thought?

Who would have thought these little owls on giant paperclips would be so popular?!?!

I recently had a stall at a local craft show with my team, and had these little cuties available.

Each night I went home to make MORE owls!! Then I ran out of paperclips and bought MORE paperclips! I must have made about 30 all up, and sold every single little one of them. I think if I'd made double that, they also would have disappeared.

Who would have known?
