Love is in the Air....

Okay, so you weren't holding your breath waiting to see some more cards!
But...I surprise you!

The other night I had a wonderful creative session just MAKING!
It was very therapeutic and a lot of fun.

I've done a few 'Valentinesy-type-of-cards' which I'll share with you over the next few days or so.

This card was CASEd from Debra Currier's cute creation HERE.

I used the glittery Red Glimmer Paper from the Summer Mini instead to add lots of bling!

The 'Love' stamp is NEW!!  And it can be yours for FREE!  Yep, it's one of the choices in the Sale-a-bration brochure.

Now this little number I CASEd from Tina Gillespie  (thanks Tina! :) )
Check out her website HERE.

I used the 'Love' sentiment stamp from the Pennant Parade stamp set.

And you'll find the Red and Silver Gimmer Paper on page 13 of the Summer Mini Catalogue.

Cute!

Thanks for dropping in!
(Leave a comment to let me know you've been! :) )

Until next time,
Keep creating!

Words to live by?

I know New Years has come and gone...and probably some people's resolutions have come and gone already too!  :)

I don't make 'resoutions' as such, I like to make goals though. Personal goals, business goals, family goals...

What about you? Do you set yourself goals?

I came across an old Swedish Proverb which is a little funny but also very apt....here it is...

Fear less, hope more;
eat less, chew more;
whine less breathe more;
talk less, say more;
love more,
and all good things will be yours.

May 2012 be full of good things for you and yours!

Snow Globes

Okay!  Here it is...probably our favourite craft of this holidays...the snow globes!!

Scene 1: Before the snow storm

Scene 2: Light fall of snow

Scene 3: Blizzard conditions :)

We used two types of Stampin' Up! glitter for the project - Dazzling Diamonds and the heavier Glass Glitter.

The kids loved this craft...here's how to do it:
1. Raid the Lego box for the figures (notice the little tree is even 'decorated').

2. Hot-glue the figures to the lid of a jam jar (a smaller bottle would work excellent too)

3. Fill the bottle with water (am told distilled water is best),
a dash of glycerin and as much glitter as you desire!!

Love it!

Kids crafts

Since I have been very slack with my blog, I'll show you a few projects which I've done with the kidlets over the holidays

This little Marshmallow Snowman isn't my creation...I just wanted to pop him in the collection as well as this is a cool kids' craft!

He = 3 white marshmallows, 1 Choc-mint biscuit (or similar), icing, and 'stick' lollies like Fads for the arms.  He's stuck together with a toothpick...

just remember to take it out before shoving the whole thing in your mouth!! :)

This little fella is made using Stampin' Up! punches and Black Journaler and Glue Dots.  A 'fairly' quick project to make the little candy canes a bit more novel when put in school friends' Christmas cards.

The next two creations are large 12x12 cardboard frames (I cut out the centres) and covered with contact (sticky back book covering).

The kids then decorated them with heaps of punch outs I had stashed and had fun (and no mess!)

To finish off the project, I just covered the 'back' with another piece of contact so there was no stick surface left to stick to the window or wall or wherever the art work would be displayed.

Random arrangement by the toddler

More orderly arrangement by the 'going on 4 year old'

Pop in tomorrow to see the snow globes!!

Wisteria Booties

Hello! How's your 2012 looking so far?  Mine? I'm literally still catching up from 2011!! :)

Task:  to make 10 baby cards
Accomplished:  one! :)

(well, one down, 9 to go!)

Here's a card for a little newbie (well, not such a newbie as I've taken so long to make it!)...different to the usual pink for sweet little misses...Wisteria Wonder.

Also used the new Doily Punch, the Stocking Punch and matching stamp set and Ruffled Wisteria Wonder ribbon.

What do you think?

(I think I'll stick with this layout and make a few more while I have the supplies out!)
